The clipart that was sent as an example of what was wanted on the front of the shirt along with the team name “5155 Bearcats” and a list of sponsors:
The team’s name made me think of the names given to planets in classic sci-fi and monster movies (“It came from…!”), so a quick design sketch was produced with a nod to those films (and toy robots from that era):
